(VCA) Vehicular Counter Ambush

(VCA) Vehicular Counter Ambush

In this course students are given the skills to apply sound marksmanship fundamentals in conjunction with advanced tactics to repel an ambush-style attack on their vehicle. Topics such as combat mindset, violence of action, and utilizing proven points of cover on a vehicle are the cornerstones of this course. Topics taught here will allow the student to identify weak points in the enemies plan. Then utilizing superior tactics allowing them exploit them, turning the tide in the fight.

Prerequisites: Sound pistol handling skills, graduation from a pistol course preferred. Contact Ryan to get clarification.
Ammunition Requirements: 600  rounds Pistol/If agency uses Patrol Rifles we will incorporate these (300 Rounds Rifle)
Additional Required Equipment: Appropriate hearing and eye protection, duty pistol, and issued duty gear. Train like you fight! Department uniform or BDU style training uniforms. These are minimum requirements, students may bring any additional equipment they wish, knee and elbow pads, ballistic/tac vest etc.

(CDRC) Civil Disturbance/Riot Control Course

This course was designed using tactics compiled from various Law Enforcement Special Operations units specializing in crowd control and riot situations. This course took into consideration current trends and tactics of both passive and violent protesters/ rioters currently being encountered nationwide. Topics include but are not limited to; Crowd psychology, command and control, mobile field force formations, mass arrest, passive resistors, chemical agent deployment, supervisors role during formations, and use of Police K9 units within the formation. In the event of an entire departmental team attending, the course can be customized to fit the needs and capabilities of that specific agency. Also all students will receive an operators certification in the FN Herstal 303 Less Lethal Launcher that may be entered into their training file.

Prerequisites: Active Duty LEO
Additional Required Equipment: Students should bring Department issued riot gear (Riot shields, helmets, batons, gas masks, chest protectors, shin guards, less-lethal launchers, etc.). Train like you fight! Department uniform or BDU style training uniforms. These are minimum requirements, students may bring any additional equipment they wish.

(HTS) High Threat Vehicle Stops

This course has been developed to replace the traditional “felony vehicle stop” model, and highlight the shortcomings of this antiquated tactic. In today’s rapidly changing and dynamic environment, officers need to adjust tactics accordingly. Students will learn to identify tactically advantageous positions using their vehicles preparing them for the possibility of a violent encounter. Topics covered will include but are not limited to; points of cover on their vehicle, control of suspects, ballistic performance on vehicles, as well as an introduction to fighting from and around their vehicle.

Prerequisites: Active Duty LEO
Ammunition Requirements: 300  rounds Pistol

Sniper Operations: Vehicle Hides

This course is designed to enhance the operational capabilities of the Sniper or Marksman while operating in an urban environment. Vehicle hides are commonly used due to their mobility and ability to blend in with their surroundings. Topics covered will include but are not limited to; urban hide kit items, urban concealment, vehicle hide construction, selection of vehicles for hides, and implementing urban hides into missions.

Prerequisites: Graduate from a Sniper School or Long Range Rifle course.
Ammunition Requirements: Someone from the team will contact you after registration.
