(LRPR) Long Range Precision Rifle

This course is designed for the novice or entry level precision rifle shooter. The course covers the fundamentals of marksmanship as it pertains specifically to the long range scoped rifle shooter. Also covered are ballistics, data book usage, proper firing positions, effects of weather and other outside factors, as well as known distance shooting and data collection from 25 yards out to 600 yards. This course is a prerequisite for our Designated Marksman/Observer (Sniper) course.

Ammunition Requirements: 500 rounds of match grade ammunition (no reloads)
Additional Required Equipment: Appropriate Hearing and eye protection, scoped rifle with bipod, there is no specific reticle required for this course (however a mil or moa based reticle will be required in the Designated Marksman/Observer Course), spotting scope, and Data Book. These are only the minimum required items, students may bring any additional safety gear such as elbow/knee pads if they wish. Clothing should be suitable for training. (DMO) Designated Marksman/Observer

This program will serve to train Law Enforcement, Military, or qualified civilian personnel as Designated Marksmen or Snipers. Students will be instructed in the use of precision scoped weapons systems in a tactical capacity. This course covers ballistics, range estimation, alternate shooting positions, data book usage, team techniques, observation and intelligence gathering, hostage rescue operations, angled shooting, as well as initial response to incidents. Known and unknown distance shooting from 50-600 yards minimum.

Prerequisites: Long Range Precision Rifle or equivalent

Ammunition Requirements: 500 rounds of match grade ammunition (no reloads)

Additional Required Equipment: Appropriate Hearing and eye protection, scoped rifle with bipod, scope with a mil or moa based reticle, spotting scope, Data Book, and 3 day assault style pack. These are only the minimum required items, students may bring any additional operational gear or safety gear such as elbow/knee pads if they wish. Clothing should be suitable for training.
